African Beading + Cuffs | Medicine for Humanity

In collaboration with SAND + GRIT  and Medicine for Humanity, Mint Studio will be hosting a special morning for all women to come together and do something meaningful as we raise money for Women's Reproductive Health in Uganda.

Design + handcraft your own African beaded bracelet + minimal brass square wire cuff, while listening to African drumming.  What a beautiful + meaningful way to spend a Sunday morning! The gorgeous vintage glass beads are sourced from a gentleman named Haji, who travels to and purchases the strands of beads from villages in Ghana.  Originally produced in the early 1900's in the Czech Republic, these beads add a cheerful pop of color to your bracelet stack. Each bracelet will be unique, as you can choose to color block, pattern mix, or simply string monochromatic beads on the elastic cord.  Lastly, we will cover the knot with a small piece of leather for added texture and interest.

50% of all workshop costs will go to support Medicine for Humanity and every donation makes a critical, life saving difference to the women and children being treated.

SAND+GRIT is a local minimalist jewelry designer.  Pieces are equal parts classic+edgy, soft+hard and pretty+gritty. SAND + GRIT will be donating 10% of all jewelry sales to Medicine for Humanity.

Medicine for Humanity is an international medical care and teaching organization dedicated to improving the health of women around the world.
