Minecraft Modding: Multi-Player Battle Arena Game Design

Ages 8-13, Designed for both beginning and more advanced students

Minecraft is a social game, and our classes help students customize that social experience. In this 8-week program, we will help students design their own multiplayer battle arena game so that they can challenge their friends to fun, epic battles. Students will be shown how to equip the players with weapons, potions, and armor, keep track of the score, and learn how to battle their friends in the safety of their own Minecraft server. Tuition price includes: 1 year of free access to the LearnToMod Minecraft modding software.

Students explore coding by modding Minecraft® with ThoughtStem's innovative LearnToMod software. Plus, every student will have free access to the software for the program's length, so they can continue learning at home.

Self-Paced Learning:  Students learn the basic concepts of programming in a collaborative and self-paced learning environment. Students start as Level 1 Novice Modders, but advance through higher, more challenging Levels as they attend more sessions. Students are also encouraged to login to the software at home and to continue leveling up.
